Overview :

Lovebirds Café, located in the reimagined Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort, which will relaunch as The Sunny, Miami’s new premier beachside retreat, is looking for a Lead Barista with a genuine passion for coffee.

Our baristas are the heart of Lovebirds Café. As a Lead Barista, you are skilled in connecting and creating moments and an expert at creating handcrafted delicious beverages .

You work together to create a welcoming café environment, while bringing our mission and values to life for our customers and each other.

We are searching for a Lead Barista with a genuine passion for coffee and leadership. As the heart of Lovebirds Café, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that every cup served reflects our dedication to quality.

You will play a key supervisory role, mentoring baristas, managing the flow of service, and creating a welcoming environment for both guests and the team.

The future Sunny in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach is poised to redefine the beach getaway experience offering a perfect blend of rich history and unparalleled amenities.

The resort will feature 339 spacious guest rooms, an eclectic private art collection, six food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, spa & salon, ocean-front pool with tiki bar and fire pits, beach club, and over 22,000 square feet of event space, including a unique oceanfront terrace.

Qualifications :

Proven experience as a barista, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of coffee, brewing techniques, and espresso-based drinks.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to daily challenges.

Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
