Summary :

Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. This is a remote part-time position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Backend design and development in Java using the Spring Boot framework, and Java testing frameworks
• Design and development of REST / RESTful APIs
• Use of AWS Developer tools and AWS Cloud Technology
• Manage User Authentication
• Architecture design and implementation
• Maintain database designs and develop scripts
• Review code to identify any inefficiencies
• Analyze software requirements
• Develop and maintain system design documentation
• Assist with UI design and functionality discussions and testing
• Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

• Possess 5+ years of experience with the following :
• Frameworks : Spring Boot, Hibernate
• Technologies : RESTful Services, Java 8, Java 17
• Platforms : AWS, Docker Containers
• Application Servers : Tomcat
• Databases : MySQL or other relational databases
• Tools : Git, Docker, JUnit, JMeter
• Specifications : Swagger / OpenAPI
• Processes : CI / CD

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with Apache OpenJPA
• Familiarity with WebSphere and DB2
• Familiarity with GitLab
