AMLaw 100 firm has an immediate need for a Junior Legal Assistant to support their growing Intellectual Property group in West Los Angeles.
The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to a team of attorneys and paralegals and must have superb organizational and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and at least 1+ years of experience in the Intellectual Property field.
Responsibilities include :
- E-filing with state and federal courts
- Conducting USPTO searches
- Managing attorneys' calendars including coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys and clients
- Entering billable time for attorneys and paralegals and processing expense reports
- Acting as gate keeper - answering phones and replying to emails
- Maintaining electronic and physical files
- Preparing, revising, and redlining various legal documents
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 - 3+ years of experience supporting Intellectual Property attorneys, experience with patents is a big plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication, a strong work ethic, and proactive approach to work

Compensation range : $50,000 - $60,000 annually depending on experience.
