Data Science Business Consultant, EBS AI Solutions

Position Overview :

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Employee Benefits Solutions (EBS) team . This is a newly created position .

In this role, you will be the bridge between our business users and technical teams, ensuring that our Artificial I ntelligence solutions and underlying data assets effectively address business problems and deliver expected value .

This role work s alongside business users to help them optimize their usage of AI solutions and support change management .

This includes identifying gaps and opportunities to improve AI solutions. This also includes analysis of the underlying data assets supporting the AI solutions.

This role collaborate s with the technical teams within the Data Science and Engineering (eDNA and ET ) teams on project execution, roadmaps, and regular updates.

I n this role , y ou will provide the technical teams with the success criteria / business requirements and CBA analysis around new features .

Th is new role will work closely with an existing role on the team : EBS - Data & Analytics Innovation Lead . The existing role on this team is focused on EBS data & analytics solutions strategy and c hampion ing new solutions .

Responsibilities :

Business and User Support

• Act as the primary business point of contact for certain EBS AI solutions and data assets
• Gather and analyze user feedback to optimize AI solution usage and adoption
• Drive change management processes for smooth transitions and adoption of AI-driven solutions

Strategic Planning and Analysis

• Develop success criteria and cost-benefit analyses for certain AI solutions and data assets
• Own business requirements for AI solutions and data quality requirements for data assets
• Evaluate data accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness of use

Technical Collaboration

• Provide technical teams with business requirements and CBA analysis for new features
• Coordinate user testing related to technical feature development
• Monitor AI solution performance, tracking metrics such as accuracy and efficiency

Documentation and Compliance

• Develop artifacts to support adoption and socialization (documentation, project plans, roadmaps)
• Support AI solutions and data assets compl iance with Enterprise AI Governance and EBS Data Use governance , including r eview and manage access permissions for AI and data asset s

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Data Science , or related field

Solid understanding of AI technologies and their business applications

Strong communication and presentation skills

5+ years of experience in business operations, data analysis, or AI / ML project management

LI-hybrid This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement.*

Physical job requirements :

Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day.

Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.

Ability to utilize telephone for up to 8 hours per day.

Ability to perform grasping tasks throughout the entire work day (examples : handwriting, grasping of equipment / machines, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, handling stacks of paper).

The estimated base pay range for this job is :

$84,000.00 - $155,000.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
