- Establish plan of care for new oncology and hematology patients that are referred to our department; Monitor progress of established patients and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary;
- Work as part of a care team with NP / PAs and nursing; See patients in clinic and through telemedicine daily (M-F); Respond to consult requests from the hospital internal medicine service for hospitalized patients with oncology or hematology diagnoses;
- Perform bone marrow biopsies; Answer questions from patients, nursing, hospital staff and non-Mayo providers as needed when on call;
and Participate in 24 x 7 call rotation.
