Senior Web Content Specialist

The Senior Web Content Specialist reports directly to the web strategy manager in the marketing and communications division.

This individual has functional and strategic responsibility for website content, maintaining the Premier Health brand online, supporting the overarching digital strategy, and maintaining the website architecture and structure.

The senior web content specialist is responsible for delivering consumer experiences that are consistent across any Premier Health websites, by helping to create and communicate the standards and processes for website content.

This includes developing tip sheets, training on processes, and providing training on web content, structure, and tools for stakeholders, content team members, and the division as a whole.

In addition to website work, the senior web content specialist also has responsibility for maintaining and using the system’s third-party email platform.

This includes knowledge about features and functionality of the tool, as well as email marketing best practices and privacy regulations.

The senior web content specialist will also be trained and assist as needed with intranet content authoring and support.

Essential Duties & Functions

This position requires technical, strategic thinking and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to drive achievement of business goals and objectives.

This position requires a mindset focused on testing, measurement, and ideation for continuous improvement.

Marketing Technology Stack :

  • Work with the web strategy manager to implement the marketing technology strategy and overall technology roadmap.
  • Collaborate with a team of developers, architects, program managers, content specialists and other relevant roles. Provide information on technology best practices and privacy to colleagues.
  • Assist with the process of distributed web authorship, including training, governance, and successful execution of web information architecture, content strategy, and brand identity.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology tools, such as marketing automation platforms, content management systems (CMS), analytics tools, email platforms, testing software, and other relevant applications.
  • Work with the web strategy manager to maintain data security and privacy standards.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Collaborate across the division and system departments to establish a seamless customer experience across all consumer touchpoints across the system.

Website :

  • Use editing, content management, and HTML skills to edit and publish content across digital platforms, including website, blogs, social media, and email.
  • Assist in implementing a comprehensive website strategy aligned with Premier Health’s overall marketing and communications objectives.

This includes identifying target audiences, setting goals, and defining key performance indicators (KPIs).

Enhance user engagement by developing and implementing strategies to drive key performance indicators for acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.

This includes working with the web strategy manager to identify opportunities to improve the user experience.

  • Monitor and analyze website, email, and other key metrics to test and evaluate strategies and tactics to optimize conversion, engagement, user experience, and search engine optimization.
  • Assist with regular website audits to identify areas for continuous improvement, including accessibility, user experience, branding, and content strategy.
  • Ensure the website provides a seamless and intuitive user experience. Assist in user research and testing to identify areas for improvement, such as website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall usability.
  • In conjunction with the web strategy manager, lead build activities for major web development initiatives and feature enhancements, including infrastructure set up within the content management system, content entry planning and tracking.
  • Assigns and completes web tasks within an implementation team.
  • Collaborate to ensure accuracy and consistency of voice, brand, and layout across digital verticals and delivery platforms.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex technical website issues and collaborate with the development team to ideate, plan, and implement solutions.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of digital programs and campaigns in support of division KPIs and organizational goals.

Email Marketing :

  • Maintains and uses the system’s third-party email platform. Is a SME about the features and functionality of the tool.
  • Works with web strategy manager to develop and consult with the division on best practices and privacy regulations.
  • Leads email marketing campaigns, including being a subject matter expert in planning efficient scheduling, testing, and contact management.

Intranet :

Train and assist as needed with intranet content authoring and support.

Process Improvement / Operations Excellence :

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and Agile mindset by supporting Agile teams both within the division and across the broader system.
  • Assist the web strategy manager with technical support surrounding development of processes and procedures to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.

Minimum Level of Experience Required

  • 5 - 7 years of job related experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in web content strategy execution, quality assurance, web project management, or a related area.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies and campaigns.
  • Understanding of and participation in an agile approach to work.
  • Testing and measurement mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision making. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, priority-driven environment are essential.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and technical skills needed to make positive judgments and drive execution.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Strong understanding of content marketing, including SEO, SEM, and email marketing.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to marketing technology, email marketing, and data privacy.
