Essential Job Functions
Locates, identifies, and marks utilities infrastructure by utilizing the resources at the plans vault in the Development Center;
and researching the locations of water and wastewater mains, services, hydrants, valves, cleanouts, and manholes.
Provides customer service by collecting information from customers regarding complaints; researching complaints in the field with leak detectors or other specialized equipment;
and controlling water leaks.
- Maintains the mapping system by researching upcoming and current projects; and maintaining, verifying, and updating field information.
- Provides supervisory support by assisting with on call status; assigning work to crews; coordinating jobs for crews; ensuring work is completed accurately and in a timely manner;
completing detailed work orders and other documentation of work that was finished on the job site; and completing special projects.
- Regular and dependable attendance is required.
- All other duties as assigned by a supervisor / manager within your department / division.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.
- Experience : Two years of related experience.
- Licenses : Class C Water Distribution License; A valid Class A Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement.
- Certifications Required : Class II Wastewater Collection within one (1) year of employment.
