A high growth, PE backed industrial Services company in North Texas is seeking a Legal and Risk Contracts Manager to join their team in Irving.

The Legal and Risk Contracts Manager will draft, review, negotiate, and revise various documents, contracts, and agreements.

We are seeking someone with experience working in fast paced, high volume environments to exercise independent judgement and escalate complex legal issues for resolution when needed.

Location : Irving, TX In office

Responsibilities :

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the business, keeping a current understanding of its operations and products to assess risk tolerance under relevant circumstances.
  • Prepare, review, negotiate, and amend MSAs, Statements of Work, Change Orders, Amendments, and other contracts for various departments promptly.
  • Address inquiries regarding both new and existing contracts, interpreting terms and obligations as required.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on contracting and related business / legal issues.
  • Examine documents and contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.
  • Act as the legal point of contact for resolving escalated customer issues.
  • Work with various resources to identify and evaluate risks related to terms and conditions, specifications, and customer requirements;

engage with customers as needed.

  • Serve as the contact for internal departments regarding specific contract queries and issues, and assist with contract training as needed.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly contract analytics
  • Manage the contract management system.
  • Conduct research and support special projects as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements :

  • 5+ years of contracts experience within an industrial services or similar industry
  • 4-year undergraduate degree required
  • JD for an accredited law school preferred, licensed to practice law in Texas preferred
  • Working experience in resolving complex contractual matters
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders at different levels
  • Independent, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and multi-task to meet deadlines.
