Responsibilities

Technical and Program Management

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and Quality Control professionals to deliver innovative solutions that address user needs and business requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of Product, contributing to strategic roadmaps and providing expert insights on technical planning and industry best practices.
  • Regularly report on project status, create measurement plans, and analyze KPIs and metrics to continuously improve team efficiency and product quality.
  • Advocate for and maintain high standards in user experience by proposing and guiding technical solutions that enhance project outcomes.
  • Make strategic decisions by evaluating trade-offs related to opportunity cost, critical bugs, and technical debt, while understanding and addressing the core needs of the business.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality implementations and monitor system security, proposing necessary enhancements.
  • Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance delivery capabilities and drive innovation.
  • Identify and manage risks to maintain project commitments and develop policies, processes, and guidelines to improve operational efficiency.

Leadership and People Management

  • Engage in talent acquisition and review processes to build high-performing technical teams.
  • Foster team development through monitoring personal development plans, setting goals, providing training and coaching, and offering constructive feedback.
  • Promote a positive work environment characterized by respect, collaboration, openness, and equality.
  • Address and resolve team and project issues, perform root cause analysis, and help teams continuously improve practices to maximize productivity.
  • Lead by example, cultivating a culture of respect and high standards.

Qualifications

Essential :

  • Fluency in English & Vietnamese. Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-directed.
  • 8+ years of experience as an engineering manager in global product companies.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to solve complex problems yourself, while guiding your team towards solutions.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-team projects. Proficiency in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Extensive leadership experience with a proven ability to develop leadership qualities in others. Exceptional skills in hiring and developing top-tier talent.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills with a talent for inspiring and motivating teams.
  • Passion for creating and adopting efficient business processes that enhance velocity and quality.

Preferred :

  • Experience with B2B SaaS platforms. Knowledge of hardware, software, and mobile app ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in PHP, React, Bash scripting, Python, C, C++, or other relevant technologies.
  • Understanding of networking principles.
