Overview

Plans and supervises the activities of an assigned sections within the Clinical Laboratory; Ensures adherence to quality assurance and record keeping standards;

and provides leadership, technical assistance and training of employees for the provision of accurate, valid, and timely test results.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all testing performed during assigned shift
• Supervises all personnel within assigned shift
• Development, oversight, and enforcement of quality assurance activities for the sections
• Maintains general operations within the Laboratory sections
• Performs all functions of staff MLS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience Prior experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is required without substitution.
• One of the following : Certified Medical Technologist - AMT, Certified Medical Technologist - ASCP, Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP required upon hire
• MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP / ASCPi) or Required Upon Hire
• MT(AMT) or MT(HHS) or MT(AAB) or Required Upon Hire
• Certification in a Lab Specialty or License Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $36.64 / hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work / Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
