Summary :

Presbyterian is hiring a Register Nurse to support our Oncology Department at Kaseman Hospital . The RN is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care for patients who have cancer and for those undergoing treatment.

Deliver chemo / bio products and education to cancer patient population. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating a standards-based framework model.

Qualifications

Credentials :

• Registered Nurse ( RN ) - State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.
• BLS required at time of hire.

Must maintain chemotherapy / biotherapy / immunotherapy provider certification during employment in Oncology department.

• Chemotherapy / Biotherapy / Immunotherapy provider certification required within 1 month of hire
• National Oncology Certification required to be obtained within 2-3 years of hire.
• Maintain educational requirements as per standards related to national oncology accreditations upheld by Cancer Care Services.

Preferance :

• 2 years medical surgical or ICU nursing experience
• Experience in Oncology or Infusion centers preferred.

Education : Associate Degree in Nursing
