Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and / or experience.
- Previous experience in higher education academic advising, student services and / or an athletics compliance office.
- A demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and compliance issues concerning the administration of intercollegiate athletics.
- Skilled in the application of Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Moodle / Canvass.
- Very strong interpersonal, organizational, administrative, verbal, and written communications skills.
- Ability to work with internal staff and staff across campus, including Admissions, Advising Offices, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Registrar, Bookstore and Student Affairs.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with NCAA, Conference and University rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University’s insurance carrier.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an NCAA Division I Compliance or Academic Advising Unit.
- Knowledge of the University’s academic policies and curricula. Knowledge of Banner, ARGOS and ARMS software.

Position Details Position Purpose Oakland University Athletics is a Division I program committed to academic and athletic excellence.
Our department is looking for a highly organized, driven and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Athletic Eligibility Coordinator / Academic Advisor.
This position will report directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance with a secondary reporting relationship to the Associate Athletic Director for Administration.
- This position will oversee the athletic academic eligibility certification process as well as serve as an academic advisor to a portion of the student-athlete population;
- Monitor, track, and forecast APR, GSR, and Federal Graduate Rates throughout the academic year and over rolling six-year periods;
Complete progress toward degree audits; Assist with NCAA and EADA reporting.
