About This Role :
The National Retail Accounts Manager supports growth in our national retail accounts through close relationships with key decision makers, technical product support, programs, and promotions.
Informs the division on strategy and progress of Hunter’s homeowner replacement strategy. Makes routine strategy recommendations for leadership.
National retail accounts include but are not limited to Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menard’s, and ACE Hardware.

This job is performed remotely, but home office in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, or South Carolina is required; Atlanta area preferred.
Essential Job Functions / Tasks :
- Acts as the main point of contact for national retailers for Hunter Industries’ products.
- Creates / communicates forecasts, monitors data, strategy, and reports sales results to national retailer management, as well as Hunter Marketing Management and relevant Hunter team members.
- Builds relationships with key stakeholders within the retailer organization. Travels to various customer locations, meets with retailer management and regional staff to support sales efforts, staff training and marketing programs.
- Provides leadership and guidance to Hunter’s consultants supporting each retailer. Acts as the facilitator for consultant contract adjustments and renewals.
- Works with the retailer representatives and local Hunter field personnel to develop region-specific implementation plans of corporate initiatives.
- Acts as liaison between Hunter employees and retailer representatives to ensure programs are implemented in compliance with customer account agreements.
- Develops and / or communicates strategic and tactical plans to retailer corporate and regional business teams to ensure accurate execution of programs and maximum ROI for Hunter Industries.
- Analyzes and monitors overall business. Creates reports that utilize shipment and P.O.S. data supplied by retailer and Hunter sources to assist in account forecasting and the development of promotional planning activities.
- Works with internal Hunter stakeholders such as the finance team to manage accounts receivable and rebates, and the supply chain and marketing teams to plan and support joint initiatives.
Education Required :
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or equivalent education / experience.
Experience Required :
5+ years of experience working in a similar industry role either within the customer account or supporting a national retail channel customer.

Ability to explain and sell the features and benefits of products. Ability to conduct training and educational programs.
- Knowledge of consultative selling techniques, distribution channels, business management and marketing techniques. Requires strong commitment to customer service.
- Technical knowledge of company and competitor products preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external working relationships and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English. Ability to leverage relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Must be goal orientated with the ability to meet or exceed sales objectives. Requires the ability to lead, plan, and organize for meeting objectives across regions.
- Knowledge of finance and budgeting processes. Ability to prepare budgets and manage expenses within budget.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and to provide a high level of customer service and support.
- Ability to travel extensively, live in a strategic location within the territory (Southeastern US), and work flexible hours.
- Basic computer skills with ability to use Windows programs and to perform word processing, spreadsheet, and database management on a personal computer.
- Valid driver's license and driving record sufficient to meet requirements to be insured by company. Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Knowledge of regional business and cultural practices preferred.
