Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position
Applies thenursing process through assessment, formulating nursing diagnosis, planning,implementing, documenting and evaluating plans of care for assigned patientsduring the immediate post-operative period, following established standards ofnursing practice as delineated by the Medical Center.
Workscollaboratively with ancillary nursing personnel, and promotes teamwork withall members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications and Requirements
Graduate froman accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State ofHawaii required. Minimum one (1) year critical care and / or postanesthesia nursing experience required;
medical / surgical nursing experiencepreferred; or any combination of education and experience which would providethe necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimumqualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
Mustcomplete Post Anesthesia Care Unit orientation manual within one year ofemployment. Completion of a basic critical care course, or equivalent, required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)certification required with retraining once every two years.
Basicworking knowledge of computers is highly desirable.
Starting Hourly Range $44.89 $56.39
