JT is riding an exciting wave of growth, and we are looking for a skilled Traffic / Civil Project Engineer to bring their talents to our dynamic Traffic & Roundabout team in any of our four Wisconsin offices.

As a Traffic / Civil Project Engineer, your days will be spent :

  • Utilizing your engineering knowledge to complete project tasks under the direction of senior staff
  • Assisting WisDOT-qualified Roundabout Designers in all aspects of roundabout analysis and design
  • Collaborating with colleagues and embracing JT’s values and culture
  • Developing client and stakeholder relationships within the industry
  • Communicating effectively internally and externally
  • Performing quality work within established guidelines
  • Assisting with the development and management of project budgets
  • Interpreting and adhering to internal Quality Control processes

To excel from day one, you’ll need :

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineering In Training (EIT) Certification (preferred), working towards obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical competence to perform project tasks independently
  • Knowledge of client and internal software required to complete projects
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferences
  • To be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
  • To occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and / or project-related work
