Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager with experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or equivalent software to oversee and coordinate various engineering and design projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, ensuring the quality of deliverables, and liaising with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise in CAD, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution :
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
- Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and regular status updates to ensure all stakeholders are informed.
- Team Coordination :
- Facilitate communication and coordination among internal teams and external vendors and tenants.
- Technical Expertise :
- Utilize CAD software or equivalent to review, modify, and approve design plans.
- Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Quality Assurance :
- Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed tenant and ownership expectations.
- Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Budget and Resource Management :
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Allocate resources effectively, balancing team workloads and project requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, progress reports, and photos.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience :
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering or design projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Sketchup, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) or equivalent design tools.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Skills :
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Estimation or Project Management.
- Experience with CAD software.
Working Conditions
- This position does require occasional travel to project sites or client locations.
- Ability to work in an office setting with standard office equipment.
