They are looking for a Quantitative Analyst who will direct numerical techniques and write software to create, explore, and execute statistical models for their electronic financial trading tactics.
This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.
Quantitative Analyst’s Responsibilities and Duties
- Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and trends.
- Building mathematical models and algorithms to predict market behavior, asset prices, or other financial metrics.
- Writing and debugging code in languages like Python, R, or MATLAB to implement quantitative models and automate data analysis processes.
- Staying updated on market developments, economic indicators, and relevant academic research to refine and improve quantitative models.
Quantitative Analyst’s Qualifications and Skills
- The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. within quant, machine learning, LLM (large language models), or statistics.
- Advanced knowledge of mathematics.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Must have numerous publications.
