The Associate Java Developer is responsible for learning how to analyze, design and code in support of solutions that streamline and improve efficiency of our high transaction-based applications.
Having a strong sense of curiosity about logistics, technical skills along with an innate customer service-oriented attitude are essential for being successful in this position.
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability.
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experienced in at least one Object Oriented language
- Strong object-oriented design and development skills
- Knowledgeable about Java topics such as web services and database connectivity
- Familiar with developing applications using object-relational mapping frameworks such as Hibernate
- Ability to write statements using Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Strong interpersonal skills and team focused
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Unix or Linux (ability to navigate the system and modify files)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with developing UIs using JavaScript and other UI frameworks
- Familiar with Spring, Kafka, Kafka StreaM
- Familiar with XML, Microservices, and Event Driven Architecture
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent job-related experience
- Familiar with Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE's, various plug-ins, Git, Maven, Nexus
- Understanding of the transportation / global logistics industry
