Were seeking aStructural Lead / Supervisor to oversee the construction ofstructural steel components ensuring quality cost control andontime delivery of parts!
Whatyoull be doing :
- Leadingthe manufacturing team and suppliers in constructing structuralsteel components.
- Creating and managingproduction schedules to ensure timely projectcompletion.
- Implementing cost controls andreviewing job performance regularly.
- Acting asa working supervisor by welding and contributing to job tasks asneeded.
- Visiting subcontract suppliers toensure quality cost and timelines meetexpectations.
- Upholding COF core values ofsafety quality schedule and value.
- Ensuring thefacility equipment and supplies are adequate foroperations.
- Supervising shop personnel andmanaging staffing levels to maintain an efficientworkforce.
- Communicating effectively withEngineering Purchasing and Project Management to minimize costs andensure ontimedelivery.
MustHaveQualifications :
- Technicaldegree preferred or 10 years of relevant welding and / or fabricationindustry experience.
- 25 years of experienceoperating MIG TIG and / or SAW weldingequipment.
- Knowledge of structural steelwelding procedures and familiarity with AWS and CWBstandards.
- Strong supervisory skills with theability to manage a workforce and mentor teammembers.
- Proficiency in reading andunderstanding blueprints specifications and implementing efficientmanufacturing methods.
- Ability to work withinan ERP environment and manage ongoing job costseffectively.
- Physical capability to lift 50pounds and walksteps per day in a heavy steel fabrication shopenvironment.
