Overview

Skyworks Cedar Rapids is seeking a Senior Layout Designer responsible for the layout of Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) Filters utilizing Skyworks internal proprietary technology and PDKs in accordance with our defined best practices and most up to date design rules.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with design engineers in the layout and verification of BAW filters for wireless consumer electronic products using the Cadence Virtuoso Layout Environment and Calibre verification tools.
• Position requires remote interfacing with domestic and international design engineering teams across multiple design centers in different time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent a plus.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in the layout of integrated circuits using Cadence Virtuoso or an equivalent tool.
• Proven ability to interpret DRC using Calibre verification tool and to read electrical schematics.
• Ability to plan and place circuit components such as resonators, capaictors, and bondpads into a defined die size.
• A good understanding of the semiconductor processes and physics underlying BAW layout.
• Use or exposure to Design Management software a plus.
• Experience in the preparation of layout data necessary for foundry mask releases is a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role across the $35.91 - $62.79 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
