CNC Operator / Machinist - 2nd Shift - Asheville - $19.00 / hr.

PrideStaff is recruiting for a CNC Operator / Machinist for 2

Shift for a manufacturing company located in Asheville.

Job Summary : Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine;

maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Duties and Requirements :

• Sets up and operates machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and saws. Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Reads and interprets drawings and specifications, machines materials to drawing specifications
• Performs in process inspections where required. calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Studies sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Measures, marks, and scribes’ dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills and lathes.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Minimum of 1 year experience in machining or certification or minimum of 3 years machine operating experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Must be able to walk / stand throughout an eight to ten-hour day and be able to consistently lift 50 lbs.

Hours of Work : 2nd Shift - Monday Wednesday 3 : 00pm 1 : 00am and Thursday 3 : 00pm 9 : 00pm

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $19.00 - $19.00
