Job Description
AgSouth Farm Credit is seeking a self-motivated, eager college student or recent graduate to join our team as a Marketing Intern in our Anderson, South Carolina location.
We are a collaborative team who values input from everyone and you will have an opportunity to work with the Director of Marketing as well as the entire marketing team on a wide range of projects.
The Marketing Intern will be assigned a mentor and will have the opportunity to help tell the story of where we started over 100 years ago and where we are today.
AgSouth Farm Credit is looking for a Marketing Intern for the following location only : Anderson, SC
Responsibilities / Duties :
- Completing an intern development guide.
- Providing support with critical marketing functions including digital marketing, company events, public relations, writing, or production projects and initiatives.
- Working with various Association employees on various assignments.
- Completing and presenting an assigned project to the executive management team at the conclusion of the internship.
Basic Qualifications :
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Marketing or Communications.
- Junior Status or above.
- Strong administrative skills, exceptional organizational and technology skills.
- Proficient use of grammar and business communication (both oral and written), and ability to create / update reports, presentations and correspondence.
- Detailed innovator with problem solving skills, creative, and strong work ethic.
- Must have a 3.00 GPA or higher
- Highly motivated and energetic
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in Marketing is preferred; agricultural and / or rural ties are a plus
- Experience with content development and blog writing
- Experience with development of social media campaigns

- Detailed-oriented with strong organization and multi-tasking capabilities
- Ability to participate in and lead teammates to successful achievement of project objectives
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) appropriately based on target audience
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain good rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with customers and those outside the department
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of social media tools (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Knowledge of content creation tools like Canva and / or Adobe CC.
- Strong creative capabilities

Other Details : This is a paid internship, $18 / hour and up to 40 hours per week; however, students must provide their own housing and transportation.
Business related expenses will be paid by the organization. Some travel will be required. AgSouth reserves the right to change or modify duties and assignments at any time.
