- Expertise in Manufacturing Playbook and Playlist : Demonstrate proficiency in the Manufacturing Playbook and Playlist methodologies, and actively apply them across all relevant areas.
- Advanced Troubleshooting : Employ an analytical, systems-based approach to troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs, instrumentation, and drives on production lines.
- Data Analysis and Improvement Management : Analyze data to pinpoint areas for quantifiable enhancements in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Lead the management of identified improvements within a high-speed asphalt roofing manufacturing environment across multiple production lines.
- Automation Enhancement : Identify deficiencies in automation deployment and collaborate with the Plant Systems team to implement enhancements in PLC programs.
- Change Management and Documentation : Facilitate change management processes and maintain sustainment documentation including engineering drawings, manuals, troubleshooting guides, process flow diagrams, and spare parts lists.
- Electrical Design and Collaboration : Develop electrical and control layouts, update and create electrical drawings using CAD or similar software.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams comprising Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance personnel to address departmental requirements.
- Training and Mentorship : Provide guidance and training to controls and other plant personnel, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
- Systems Optimization and Reliability : Enhance current manufacturing systems and bolster the reliability of electrical and control systems on machinery exposed to abrasive materials.
- Stay Informed on Technology : Stay abreast of emerging capabilities and technologies related to controls, drives, and web handling.
Lead the integration and adoption of new technologies where applicable.
Adaptability and Project Management : Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment, implementing solutions promptly and effectively.
Assume the role of project manager for the installation of improvement projects, including writing project specifications and coordinating with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (Preferably in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Controls Engineering) with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in PLC code development.
- Experience with motion control systems, preferably utilizing Siemens VFDs and Servos.
- Strong background in electrical distribution troubleshooting and design, with a solid understanding of NEC regulations.
- HMI programming experience, preferably with Aveva.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office suites.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present work to plant management, peers, and maintenance / operations personnel.
- Apply mathematical, statistical, and engineering principles to resolve recurring process issues.
- Self-directed individual capable of prioritizing workload and resources to optimize production processes effectively.
