Catering Event Staff for LIV Golf Tournament

This is a wonderful and unique opportunity to join Catering by Michaels , Chicago's premier catering team, as Catering Event Staff (includes catering waiters, bartenders, and cooks) at the internationally renowned LIV Golf Chicago invitational .

The tournament is hosted by the beautiful Bolingbrook Golf Club, the premier upscale golf club in Chicagoland's SouthWest suburbs.

Who Should Apply :

This position is perfect for anyone seeking great pay and hours, hospitality industry experience, and a positive work environment surrounded by beautiful scenery and supportive staff.

Prior hospitality or event production experience is preferred, but NOT required. On-site training and instruction will be provided by our experienced catering professionals.

The best qualifications are a positive attitude and outlook, ability to follow directions, and willingness to ask questions if you are tasked with something you are not quite sure how to complete.

Interested bartenders and cooks will require at least some prior experience and must have a valid and current alcohol and / or food handler certificate.

Position Details :

Employment for this position is temporary, and we are seeking individuals available to work from September 9th to September 16th , and applicants must be available to work on September 13th through September 15th .

Catering by Michaels will be providing catering services for the LIV Golf Invitational. Hired event staff will be placed at different outdoors or tented stations, ranging from backstage VIP stations, concessions stations, buffets, beverage stations / bars, and more.

The event will be held at Bolingbrook Golf Club, located in Bolingbrook IL. Parking is available, but we do not provide transportation.

Catering Waiter Job Duties Include :

• Assisting with the set-up and break-down of event spaces.
• Serving and handling food in a sanitary manner.
• Assisting with preparing food displays.
• Replenishing food stations.
• Working a POS device to take concession orders and accept payment.
• Providing assistance to event guests.
• Creating an environment of high level hospitality.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Bartender Duties Include :

• Set-up bar in a visually neat and appealing manner (including setting up the drinkwear, bottles, garnishes, etc.).
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to event participants and guests.
• Restock bar supplies as needed.
• Check ID's for legal drinking age and monitor for overconsumption.
• Creating an environment of high level hospitality.
• Breakdown bars and clean station after the event.

Cook Duties Include :

• Loading and unloading of kitchen equipment
• Handling and preparing food in BOH, and at various food stations throughout the venue.
• Cave cooking, frying in a standard deep-fat fryer, or cooking over a portable burner.
• Maintaining and organizing kitchen in a neat and sanitary manner.

Catering by Michaels will provide meals, water, and uniforms for all event staff. We are offering competitive pay based on experience.
