Drill Tech Drilling & Shoring, Inc. (DTDS) is a design-build contractor specializing in the construction of earth retention systems, soil stabilization, drilled foundations, landslide remediation, and tunnel and shaft construction.

About this Role

DTDS is looking for an IT Support person to manage the IT Infrastructure and ensure the many parts of the system are maintained and kept running.

The IT Support position will be responsible for all parts of the IT infrastructure and will have the authority to procure hardware and software, provide solutions to users, and more as needed.

The IT Support position will also interface directly with users to provide a customer service role in diagnosing and resolving user issues, and maintain a positive user experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet with all users weekly to provide a high level of customer service and proactive solution management.
  • Maintain on-prem Windows servers, networks, Wi-Fi solutions, and endpoints in our offices across the US.
  • Innovate to create IT solutions for remote job sites.
  • Install and configure security systems, cameras, etc.
  • Support smaller job site networks in temporary offices as needed.
  • Maintain and support Microsoft 365 Cloud environment.
  • IT Vendor management. Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software purchases / renewals.
  • Ensure IT related accounts are kept in good standing.
  • Setup accounts for new IT hires, setup new hardware (desktops / laptops / cell phones).
  • Configure and maintain existing technology end user devices.
  • Provide support to DTDS employees and other companies under the DTDS umbrella.
  • Work with management to address IT shortcomings and help find and roll out solutions as needed.
  • Provide training to employees as needed for innovative solutions such as creating guides or helping individually.
  • Work with other IT staff to support DTDS employees with software and hardware issues.
  • Manage MDM Server (Apple Business Manager and SaaS Zoho Product) and iOS device lifecycle.
  • Manage mobility voice and data accounts (Verizon and T-Mobile for Business)
  • Manage user access management in the corporate office such as door codes and alarm codes.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or related field, certifications, or equivalent work experience
  • A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certification(s), Cisco certification(s), and other certifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 services, such as Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD, etc.
  • Knowledge in Exchange Online and SharePoint Online management shells can be very useful.
  • Strong experience in administering a Windows Domain and server environment, and the process of transitioning to Azure AD.
  • Supporting technology solutions in a medium sized business environment.
  • Construction, utilities, or other heavy industry experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of TCP / IP networks.
  • Knowledge of Ubiquiti and Cisco Meraki solutions.
  • Knowledge of CradlePoint solutions.

Working Conditions and Location

  • The position is located in the corporate office in Antioch, CA.
  • Position may rarely be required to travel to and assist other domestic sites (less than 5%) .
