- Handle FOIL and subpoena related litigation, including but not limited to drafting and filing litigation papers, court appearances, and liaising with the NYC Law Department.
- Liaise litigation cases with the NYC Law Department.
- Perform FOIL and Subpoena Unit-related work, including but not limited to reviewing documents for privilege and disclosure, and handling other aspects of the unit's work as needed.
- Perform work related to privacy laws and assist the Agency Privacy Officer.
- Handle NYC Comptroller claims and documents requests.
- Review Department contracts.
- Handle Unsafe Buildings cases and / or Small Claims matters, including appearance in NYS Supreme Court.
- Handle other assignments or special projects, as needed.
Preferred Skills :
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of FOIL and privacy requirements.
Minimum Qualifications :
Admission to the New York State Bar; and either
