Job Description

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team in the National Capital Region. The successful candidate will play a key role in articulating and documenting our data management program ensuring clarity and precision in technical communication for data extraction, transformation, loading, and consumption.

The program provides data management services including extraction, transformation, loading (ETL) and migration of legacy data;

data governance, and the consumption of data. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts, Senior Data Engineers (ETL Developers), and Integration Developers to leverage their expertise, seek guidance, and actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to contribute to the team's objectives.
• Write and edit technical documentation for the data management program, focusing on ETL processes, API integrations, and data consumption.
• Refer to technical specifications, data models, and system architecture to gather comprehensive information for documentation, ensuring accurate and insightful content.
• Create and incorporate diagrams, flowcharts, and visuals to enhance understanding of complex data concepts.
• Conduct quality reviews of technical materials, ensuring accuracy, consistiency, and alignment with best practices.
• Enhance and update existing documentation based on feedback, evolving program requirements, and advancements in data management solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in technical writing, with a focus on data management, ETL processes, API integration, or related technical areas.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills focusing on conveying technical concepts.
• Proficiency in documenting data models, system architecture, and technical specifications.
