We are seeking a full-time Certified Coder to join our busy Central office location in NE Portland. You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.

Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for a highly motivated, personable and organized candidate with a passion for quality patient care and detail-oriented work ethic.

Primary duties include assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes and modifiers to ensure accurate billing, maintaining the fee ticket system, reviewing coding as requested, providing information for insurance appeals, and other duties as assigned.

Workdays will be full-time Monday-Friday, 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm. No weekends! Starting pay range, based on experience : $25.73 - $34.81 per hour.

Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.

Requirements :

  • Two years previous surgical coding experience is required.
  • Certified Personal Coder (CPC) certification is required.
  • Previous experience using a 10-Key keyboard is preferred
  • Previous experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system preferred
  • Knowledge of overall healthcare payment systems and major payer types
  • Knowledge of CPT procedure, ICD-10 coding and basic A / R management principles
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines.
