We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader for the role of Director of Product Management - Data Strategy. In this pivotal position, you will lead the product data strategy, development, and execution of data solutions for Pearson Higher Education's digital portfolio.
We need someone with strong prioritization skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, who can take ownership of outcomes and develop not only a broad strategy, but also a community of practice around product data.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be accountable for driving our data strategy, innovating in data solutions, and establishing effective data governance and processes.
Experience delivering solutions is highly desirable in this fast-moving, complex, and evolving space. Responsibilities : + Develop and articulate a comprehensive data strategy for the Higher Education portfolio of products and applications aligned with overall business objectives.
- Translate requirements of data initiatives into actionable roadmap items. + Champion data literacy within the Higher Education team.
- Coach others on data analysis and data science techniques in developing market-leading products and features. + Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor products, and opportunities for innovation.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing product management team focused on data solutions. + Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting continuous improvement and learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to bring new data features and enhancements to market.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of product data requirements.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of data initiatives. + Regularly report on product performance, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
