Intake Nurse
Location : Greenfield, WI
We are currently seeking an Intake Nurse (RN, LPN, EMP-P) to work at one of the largest Plasma / Blood Donation Centers in the greater Milwaukee, WI area.
Compensation
26-28 / hour
New Grads welcome to apply!
Schedule
Monday-Friday, rotating shifts (1 week opening, 1 week mid, 1 week closing)
Qualifications
- LPN License OR RN OR EMT-P
- BLS certification (because knowing how to save lives is kind of important)
- Plasma knowledge and venipuncture skills are bonus points (but we won't ask you to recite the periodic table)
Responsibilities
- You will assess donor eligibility.
- Manage informed consent, providing AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, conducting medical history interviews and acceptance checks,
- Perform physical examinations, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- You will assess donor reactions occurring at the facility as specified in the SOPs.
- Team up with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable)
- You will evaluate donor reactions at the facility in accordance with the SOPs.
- Adhere to the SOPs for medical emergencies, which includes executing the Center Physician's standing orders and organizing donor transport to emergency care facilities.
