Wound CareClinician,(Outpatient), FT, Piedmont ColumbusMidtown
RESPONSIBLE FOR :
Responsible for the assessment, evaluation, andtreatment of patients, specifically those with acute and / or chronicwounds, ostomy management and education as well as management offistulae, tubes, skin, and incontinence issues.
Works inconjunction with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary staff toevaluate, propose, plan and perform patient assessment andtreatments.
Qualifications :
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED :
Graduate of an accreditedschool in the field of Nursing, Physical Therapy, or OccupationalTherapy.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :
Two years of clinical experiencerequired.
MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
BLScertification through AHA with current licensure in the State ofGeorgia as a Physical Therapist, Registered Nurse, or OccupationalTherapist.
Must maintain CEUs as required by thestate.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Bachelors degreepreferred. Two (2) years of clinical experience in wound / ostomycare and management preferred. Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) orCertified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) preferred.
Experience working in research, analysis of data, and editingcollateral preferred.
