Responsibilities :
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers related service providers and parents
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with the IDEA and IL regulations
- Provide behavior interventions
- Provide academic interventions
- Participate in functional behavioral analysis and behavior intervention planning
- Direct instructional aides in the implementation of accommodations and / or modifications
- Participate in the problemsolving team process
- Provide progress monitoring and data collection to drive instructional decisions
- Demonstrate initiative problemsolving skills and flexibility
Qualifications :
- Illinois Professional Educator License with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement
- Expertise with behavioral and academic interventions
- Ability to analyze student academic and behavior data for instructional purposes
- Strong curricular knowledge related to programming for behavior and academic needs
- Trained in CPI certification
