We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a contract to hire position with our client in West Palm Beach, FL.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with high volume transactions, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 per year and has the potential for permanent hire based on performance.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Reconcile accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, and payroll-related accounts.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide support for audits and other financial reviews.
- Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on high volume transactions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
