As a Veterinary Technician in the Critical Care department your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to : Partnering with DVM's in the ER & ICU on triage, patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures, assisting in maintaining detailed medical records and charts, and understanding when to alert the DVM on patient statuses Performing nursing care for critical cases, while consistently evaluating your patients Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment, executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events, surgical assisting for minor (non-specialty) procedures, placing IV catheters, urinary catheters and central lines, obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates Advocating for patient and client care at all times Communicating with clients for hospital updates, rechecks, reviewing test results, financial updates and general questions About You : Able to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community Possess a positive outlook and are able to work well in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications : Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in an ER / Specialty care setting required.
CVT or VTS preferred but not required.
