Full Time Live-in or Live-out Special Needs Caregiver / Household Manager in North Caldwell NJ $52,000 - $62,400 per year
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Caregiver / Household Manager for a loving family with one 14-year-old son, who has special needs.
The 14 year old is mostly non-verbal, with some speech, and requires consistent support in his daily activities. Ideal candidate is patient, kind and professional.
This is a long-term, live-in or live-out position with an immediate start.
Responsibilities :
- Provide specialized care for the 14 year old, focusing on his unique needs related to speech apraxia, ADHD, OCD, and general anxiety disorder.
- Spend quality time engaging in activities such as driving him to the store, getting ice cream, or other outings.
- Assist with his evening routine, including preparing him for bed.
- Transportation to his scheduled activities and appointments using your own vehicle.
- Comfortable with a family dog and light dog walking.
- Be available for overnight care when necessary.

Requirements :
- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly in areas of non-verbal communication and anxiety management.
- CPR / First Aid certification.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Must be up-to-date with standard vaccines, including Covid.
- Must be a strong swimmer due to the presence of a pool.
- Provide 3-5 professional references.
Compensation :
- $25-30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Benefits : 2 weeks paid vacation, 2-4 sick personal days, major holidays
Start Date :
As soon as right person is available.
Schedule :
- Monday - Friday 1pm-9pm
- Flexibility for overnight care as needed.
- Occasional weekend hours with advance notice.
- Guaranteed hours every week.

- Private parking is available.
- The position includes access to a private room for overnight stays when needed.
