Because Invesco understands data and the products created from data are the lifeblood of our business, we have created a global Enterprise Data & Analytics Office (EDAO).
EDAO is a linchpin of an ecosystem of data-first functions that will work together seamlessly to enable Invesco to achieve the true value of data and data products.
EDAO will empower Invesco to leverage data as a strategic asset by making quality, trusted data and content available to the right people, at the right time, in the right format, in the most efficient way possible to enable both large transformations and day-to-day operations.
Your Role
The Data / Content Business Analyst sits within the Corporate Functions Data Office as a part of the EDAO, reporting to the Corporate Functions Data Officer.
They maintain good relationships with internal EDAO partners and collaborate with their peers in the EDAO within the Corporate Functions domain.
They develop a strong understanding of the Legal, Compliance, Risk & Audit data sets, content and business processes, including both how it is produced and consumed within the domain and how to apply EDAO strategy and practices to drive data capabilities forward.
Under general supervision, gather business and data requirements, convert the business and data requirements into technical requirements for solution development.
The business analyst supports the product owner / s in managing the scope of the assigned project, resolves any impediments from requirements perspective for development team, supports the system testing and user acceptance testing.
The business analyst also performs validation of deliverables against requirements ensuring that solution is meeting the objectives.
You will be responsible for :
- Analyzing and understanding the end to end business processes and the data associated with business processes.
- Under the guidance and supervision of Sr / principal business analyst, the business analyst should be able to work with business stakeholders to document the LCAR functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers / project team.
- Demonstrate strong Problem-solving skills.
- Attending regular team and other required meetings daily / weekly.
- Ensuring clear and accurate communication and responding to EDAO partners, business, technology partners and peers in a timely manner.
- Provides updates to senior management, project stakeholders on the progress of the assigned tasks.
- Supports the system and user acceptance testing for new business functionality or added data sources.
- Identify, research, document and / or remediate exceptions.
- Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.

- Must be comfortable working in an agile development environment.
- Have an ability to handle multiple requests from varied stakeholders, in a way that maintains clear priority, and ability to adjust when needed.
- Be an effective translator of business needs into technical requirements.
- Demonstrate an ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence internal and external teams.
- Be able to work under guidance of senior team member, take initiative, and get projects completed with great attention to detail and on time.
The experience you bring :
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Technology.
- Ability to write SQL queries and understanding of data life cycle.
- Basic understanding of Data Architecture, data modeling, Business intelligence, analytics and process flow design concepts.
- Ability to interpret complex or vague instructions and successfully produce results.
- Proactively identifies, analyzes, and resolves procedural fail points.
- Demonstrates superior judgment, reasoning, and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrates a high level of initiative, assertiveness, and self-confidence.
- Proactively identifies and analyzes procedural improvements. Initiate projects / workflow that would enhance the department's functions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work in a team / group setting.
- Effectively manages multiple responsibilities and meets deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Nice to haves : Minimum 1 year of experience in the Investment Management industry / Asset Management / Financial Services industry.
