Requirements
- Lead a team of two to four project managers and one assistant project manager
- Work with internal business development and preconstruction teams to understand the scope, specifications, and schedule of large commercial, multi-family, institutional, and industrial projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance the company's ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency
- Solve construction problems as they arise
- Keep in-house project management systems updated and on track with critical dates
- Manage submittal drawing process with contractors, architects, and engineers
- Coordinate phasing of projects to match the general contractor's schedule
- Coordinate with superintendents to ensure field measurements are implemented in final production drawings
- Work closely with superintendents to ensure customer / contract requirements and timelines are met
- Keep projects on track within company lead time guidelines
- Review, create, and manage the execution of change orders
- Communicate with customers and the internal accounting team to ensure projects are billed on time and accurately
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (plan sets, isometrics)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and organize significant amounts of information efficiently
- Five-plus years of construction / manufacturing experience
