The Opportunity

Altrad is currently in search of experienced Quality Inspectors (Insulation) to become a vital part of our team at a prominent LNG Construction Project situated in Kitimat, British Columbia Canada.

This is a tremendous opportunity for United States Citizens to mobilise on a fly in fly out roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off), working 10 hours per day.

Gaining global experience on one of the biggest LNG Projects in North America, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring sheet metal and insulation works are completed within the project’s approved procedures.

To be successful in this role, you should have sound knowledge of Quality legislation, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the project.

Your day to day duties will include :

  • Conduct formal site audits, inspections, and quality sessions as needed.
  • Participate actively and provide feedback in training programs.
  • Advise and support site personnel, liaise with Client liaison and relevant staff on quality issues.
  • Investigate non-conformances, report findings to management, and ensure effective procedures
  • Monitor and improve Quality performance, implement relevant procedures and systems
  • Report work quality to QA / QC Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and specifications
  • Manage materials in accordance with approved procedures and project specifications

Who do we want to hear from?

  • Oil and Gas industry experience including 5 years in QA / QC
  • Hold current ICorr certification - Insulation
  • Contemporary and leading-edge knowledge and expertise of Quality management (strategic and operational) practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the group
  • Sound knowledge of Quality inspection, legislation and standards for industry and best-practice
  • Ability to complete and pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
