POSITION SUMMARY :
Our editors are the creative force behind our content team. Qualified candidates must be comfortable with projects ranging from dynamic social media videos to long form storytelling and everything in between.
Exceptional storytelling skills and a creative approach to problem-solving are an absolute must.

SPECIFIC DUTIES :
- Collaborate with producers, videographers, motion designers, and department leadership to produce engaging content for social web, TV, and social media channels
- Bring creative ideas to open meetings and internal / external client sessions
- Work independently, creating original projects from concept to completion
- Accept and incorporate feedback from Penske Entertainment leadership and additional stakeholders
- Work with fellow editors to ensure best practices are in place with our AVID edit and storage systems
- Additional duties assigned by Penske Entertainment leadership
QUALIFICATIONS :

Education
BS / BA in Television / Communications or a related field.
Skills / Experience
- 5 years of experience as a video editor
- Preference will be given to candidates with network and / or professional sports league or team experience
- Requires extensive knowledge of AVID edit and media storage systems or the ability to transition from another edit platform quickly
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is a major plus (After Effects, Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop)
- Excels in integrating motion graphics and music into edit projects
- Excels in taking a project from initial concept / storyboard to finished product
- Excels in working with different video file types, aspect ratios, transcoding and outputs
- Commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds and commitment to cultural competency
- Ability to uphold and consistently demonstrate the Penske Entertainment Standards
Travel / Work Hours / Flexibility
- General office hours are Monday Friday, 8 : 30am 5 : 00pm. However, this position requires flexibility given the nature of our event-driven business.
- Longer hours and weekends required for the Month of May, other major racing events, and depending on project needs.
- Penske Entertainment acknowledges that the need for flexibility varies across all companies / departments and is not best addressed by a one size fits all flexible work policy.
As such, the company encourages supervisors to work with their employees to leverage flexibility as needed to support a healthy balance.
Some travel is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

- At times, the position must help in lifting equipment on field shoots and in studio. Most work requires normal physical effort.
