Our client, a leading manufacturing company is searching for a talented Buyer. The selected individual will be in a key role in a dynamic manufacturing environment with great growth potential.
This position will be responsible for the following :
- Plan, negotiate, and purchase raw materials.
- Procure MRO, packaging supplies, and service
- Maintain inventory records and operational performance
- Coordinate raw material and packaging inventory
- Oversee and schedule bulk truck and receiving of other materials
- Initiate and finalize subcontract operations.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Associates' degree with 2 years solid manufacturing purchasing experience.
- Experience in material management, purchasing, planning & manufacturing processes (5S, lean, demand flow, kaizen)
- MRP / ERP experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills to conduct research and improve processes
- Ability to quantify the value of projects
- Self-directed individual who has the ability to work with minimal supervision and achieve results.
