What You Will Do :

We are looking for a hands-on RF Electrical Engineer or Senior RF Technician to join the Antenna and Microwave Products Product Test and Sustainment team.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibrating, and performing preventive maintenance on presently deployed test sets and associated RF test equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Other duties will include documenting procedures, processes, and reporting of test set status to be utilized in the investigation of upgrades, obsolescence and improvements to test.

This position will require the successful candidate to engage in other sustainment related tasks as well. These tasks include but are not limited to;

Equipment Coordination / Equipment Custodianship, parts ordering and tracking, inventory management, and forecasting / reporting of test set availability.

Primary duties will be carried out in a cleanroom environment.

This position is an onsite role, located in McKinney, TX.

Qualifications You Must Have :

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience with any combination of the following : Experience troubleshooting RF test sets and associated test equipment such as Network Analyzers (HP8510 / 8530, and Keysight PNAs), signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.

Experience reading, interpreting, and drawing conclusions from S-Parameter data.Experience with working from schematics, and test requirements including written and oral instructions.

Experience with component level troubleshooting.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.

S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related science or engineering discipline.
  • Industrial oven troubleshooting experience.
  • Chiller systems troubleshooting experience.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing robot arms on automated test equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work in cross functional team environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) , an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
