ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, MARKETING TECHNOLOGY (HYBRID - WASHINGTON, DC)

The Associate Director, Marketing Technology is responsible for researching, sourcing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the firm's marketing and business development technology products and digital initiatives to enhance the firm's visibility and market position.

This role involves conducting regular audits of technology systems, making enhancements, identifying new efficiencies and systems through competitive intelligence, evaluating, introducing, and implementing new technologies and processes to maintain firm competitiveness, and monitoring and reporting on program effectiveness.

The Associate Director, Marketing Technology works closely with the Marketing & Business Development Team senior leadership to ensure that all technological activities within the department are coordinated effectively.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed

  • Develop and manage innovative marketing technologies to raise brand awareness and strategically promote the firm.
  • Manage and support the marketing technology team including coaching, training, evaluating, supervising, and mentoring.
  • Oversee the firm's website and all other marketing technologies in support of marketing and business development strategies and initiatives.
  • Maintain the firm's social media platforms and optimizing their use.
  • Oversee the firm's marketing database technologies and the conceptualization and implementation of any future firm CRM initiatives, including working with firm leadership on approving and communicating these initiatives internally and developing related training / internal communications programs as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing Department's senior leadership team to ensure consistent and effective external and internal communication.
  • Serve as primary liaison with firm's technology-related teams.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

12+years of directly experience in a professional services or law firm. Minimum of 10 years of professional marketing technology experience.

Experience in legal marketing a plus.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm's financial and operational functions
  • The mindset to provide superior service
  • Knowledge of web UX, web development, database management, data analytics, SEO, CRM, email marketing, experience and proposal systems, social media, and other marketing-related technologies and platforms.

Experience with these technologies in the legal industry a plus.

  • Previous experience in managing staff and overseeing their professional development. Proven ability to manage, coach, and mentor a diverse staff.
  • Experience in project management, strategic planning, and budgeting.
  • Experience defining and overseeing organization-wide marketing technology rollouts.
  • Strong internal and external client service orientation.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing technology vendors.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills; must be detail oriented.
  • Effective oral communication skills; must be able to work with employees on all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
