Position Summary :

Corporate Counsel of Labor & Employment will report to the Associate General Counsel (AGC) and has primary responsibility for all legal matters relating to

labor, employment, benefits, immigration, and workplace safety laws.

Essential Functions :

Advise company on day-to-day employment law issues to ensure company complies with various labor, employment, benefits, immigration, and workplace.

safety laws (including NLRA, Title VII, Section 1981, FMLA, ADA, AADEA, ERISA, and OSHA).

• Advise company on medical leave issues and workers' compensation matters.
• Advise company on termination of employment matters, including advising company of legal risks.
• Advise HR on handling unemployment compensation claims.
• Assist the company with drafting various employment policies and procedures.
• Work with other Team Members of Legal & Compliance to conduct investigations, audits, and training in the areas of labor, employment, benefits,

immigration, and workplace safety laws.

• Research legal issues relating to labor, employment, benefits, immigration, and workplace safety laws.
• Track and report any developments in labor, employment, benefits, immigration, and workplace safety laws.
• Handle a variety of litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters for the company (with emphasis on employment litigation and workers' compensation cases).
• Oversee handling of garnishments, services of process, and subpoena responses. Coordinates with other Legal & Compliance Team Members to

accomplish departmental objectives.

3) being honest, transparent, and accountable; (4) report all known illegal or unethical behavior; and (5) protecting confidential information.

Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management

System (SMS) requirements.

Perform all other duties as assigned by the Associate General Counsel or General Counsel.

Position Requirements :

Education

• Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA.
• Accredited Law School required.

Related Experience :

6 years of job-related experience

preferred, concentrating in labor

and employment law, preferably in

a law firm environment

representing and counseling

employers.

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift.

Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
