An exciting opportunity has arisen in ELFT for a motivated Exercise Physiologist with a passion for cardiac rehabilitation.
The post holder will be required to deliver and prescribe exercise to our patients in a number of settings, including community classes, one to one and lifestyle programs.

The successful candidate for our team will have a good clinical knowledge, be committed to team work and have excellent communication skills to enhance our expanding multidisciplinary team.
As part of our integrated multi professional team working, the successful candidate will be gaining experience within an established community service with provision of continuing professional development, evidence based practice with regular supervision, annual appraisal, and be expected to participate in and contribute to regular in- service training and team meetings
The post holder will be supported by our Band 7 Highly Specialist CR Lead Physiotherapist , required to work for hrs; Tuesday to Thursdays and participate in extended hours as required by the service.

Main duties of the job
To provide exercise prescription for cardiovascular endurance, exercise and resistance training within a cardiac rehabilitation setting.
To maintain a high standard of care, taking charge of own patient caseload as required. Liaise closely with the cardiac rehabilitation nurse and Lead Physiotherapist with continuing responsibility.
To work in conjunction with the team and other agencies to jointly deliver the CR Program, promote good communication within the MDT and relevant agencies to ensure optimal patient care.
To provide and act as a specialist resource for other staff and other healthcare professionals within the cardiac network, ensuring an excellent standard and quality of service and to participate in service related audit / research projects.
To contribute to the development, co-ordination, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of Newham Cardiac Rehabilitation Service.
The post holder will be required to work across Newham, in different sites and settings, including patient's homes, community centres and hospital facilitates.
Required to work hours weekly from Tuesday to Thursday.
To participate in extended hours / weekend rota as required by the service.

- BACPR Specialist Exercise Instructor Level 4 Cardiac Qualification (or equivalent)
- Register of exercise professionals Level 2 gym instructor and Level 3 advanced qualification
- Degree in sport and exercise sciences or related field or equivalent experience
