ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :
- Reviews, code and process utility invoices and miscellaneous non- purchase orders invoices after obtaining authorizations
- Processes purchase order invoices after verifying that items billed on the invoice have been received
- Processes discount invoices in timely manner
- Runs checks bi-weekly, filing and mailing
- Handles calls and e-mails on invoice questions or forwards to appropriate person
- Closes accounts payable books on monthly basis; run month-end reports
- Files and maintain accurate accounting records
- Reviews accounts payable invoice batches prepared by other accounts payable personnel for proper coding and expense distribution
- Reviews and reconcile assigned bank statements each month
- Sorts and distribute incoming accounts payable mail when periodically assigned.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
- Regular, reliable attendance required
QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills
- Background check and drug test are required
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- A minimum of 1 year experience with an accounts payable computerized system, Excel, and Word
