Executive Recruiting Coordinator (Human Resources Coordinator), Faculty 100 Project

Job Summary

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinates multiple virtual and on-campus candidate interviews with university leaders, faculty, search committee members, and grad students.
  • Collaborates with departmental administration support to coordinate and manage on-campus interview logistics.
  • Coordinates and documents all aspects of candidate travel including booking flights, making hotel accommodations, and ground transportation for on-campus interviews.
  • Handles multiple IU systems to ensure compliance with established procedures.

General Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, processes, verifies, and maintains HR related work, which may include but not limited to : recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, performance evaluations, classifications, I-9s and employee leaves of absences.
  • Researches and analyzes HR related topics to help assist in resolving issues and / or creating solutions.
  • Creates, compiles, prepares, and analyzes reports and documents for HR related activities.
  • Performs and may coordinate data entry for processing transactions and maintaining and keeping information current for candidates, employees and / or retirees on a variety of HR issues.
  • Provides administrative and related support to other HR staff.
  • Supports and maintains HR programs and events; maintains up-to-date records of actions, decisions, and time frames.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and documents.

Qualifications

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience.

EDUCATION

Required

High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

3 years of HR related experience plus advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite products

Preferred

Experience working in human resources, higher education, or related fields

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.

The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
