Responsible for accounting functions at assigned plants and / or cost centers; this includes period-ending accounting processes, reporting, asset management through inventory and accounting reconciliation, forecasting, budgeting, and general audit duties.

Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tracks revenue and expenses. Reviews finances for assigned plants / cost centers.
- Analyzes standard costs and researching cost change drivers
- Prepares journal entries, period-end reporting, accruals, amortization schedules, and other reports.
- Analyzes data to detect deficient controls, duplicated efforts, fraud, or noncompliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
- Researches complex transactions and prepares documentation outlining issues and conclusions.
- Works with business leaders to create business unit budget and forecasts
- Prepares journal entries, period-end reporting, accruals, amortization schedules, and other reports.
- Reviews mfg. accounting procedures and recommends changes in operations and financial activities that will improve productivity and effectiveness of the assigned business units.
- Conducts annual physical inventories or supports cycle counts throughout the year
- Assists with the integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Ensures that the internal control procedures are established and followed in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley and in compliance with company guidelines.
- Assist with developing and updating reporting surrounding Functional areas for Operational meetings for Global Product Supply and analyzing the results.
- Serves as a backup to the accounting manager.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned

- Has a strong understanding of manufacturing and distribution processes
- Writes reports and corresponds with many levels of management to meet their requirements.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
- Five to eight years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
Computer Skills
- Intermediate : JD Edwards E-1 experience (preferred).
- Advanced : Microsoft Office suite (required)
- Intermediate : Business Intelligence or similar power business reporting tools (required).
- Intermediate : Data Analytics, Power BI, SQL / ODS (preferred)
