Description

Wellestablished boutique law firm specializing in defense of MedicalMalpractice General Liability and Employment is seeking to add afulltime Associate Attorney (3 Years Experience) to its growingpractice.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join one ofPasadenas leading litigation defense firms. Working closely withpartners and other attorneys and staff members the AssociateAttorney will be expectedto :

• Draft / review / respondto discovery documents and motions
• Attend takeand defend depositions (both fact and expertwitnesses)
• Attend conferences with expertwitnesses and summarize those meetings
• Reviewand summarize various records including medical records HR recordsand documents produced in discovery
• Performlegal / medical research
• Attend court hearingsand argue motions as necessary
• Assist in trialpreparation including the drafting of trial documents motions inlimine and other required tasks
• Perform alltasks involved in a civil litigation case from inception to trialincluding discovery law & motion expert discovery and trialpreparation
• Perform other tasks asassigned
• Our firm has adopted a hybrid workingmodel for attorneys allowing attorneys to work as many days as theychoose in the office up to and including 100% remote work ifdesired.

Requirements :

• Graduatefrom ABA accredited law school
• Member ofCalifornia Bar in good standing
• 3 or more yearsexperience as an attorney
• Have excellentwriting and communication skills
• Be aselfstarter who takes ownership of executing tasks including theability to operate independently with minimal oversight but withthe resources of a team environmentavailable
• Have the ability to manage andprioritize large and complex caseload
• Be aneffective team player
• Experience in civillitigation (plaintiff or defense)required.
• Interest in medical malpracticelitigation preferred and interest in civil litigation (defense)required. Prior experience in these fields is preferred but notrequired.
