JOB SUMMARY :

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager reports to and assists the VP of Business Development and Analysis with projects related to financial planning, analysis and evaluation of the financial aspects of all operations in the Family of Companies.

This position creates, maintains, and updates financial models, and creates related reports that help in decision-making processes.

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager works directly with the CFO and other SWFC financial professionals to review and evaluate budgets, forecasts and dashboards for the Family of Companies.

This position provides financial insights, support planning processes, and offer recommendations to improve processes and financial performance.

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager provides excellent customer service to team members and customers while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Coordinate with VP of Business Development and Analysis and CFO to define and plan projects related to corporate and position goals
  • Provide financial analysis of budgets, forecasts and other financial data as needed to support the company's strategic goals and objectives
  • Collect, analyze and summarize data to build complex reports that clearly illustrate the company or business unit financial status, important trends, and any risks that may exist
  • Assist business unit financial professionals in establishing financial benchmarks against which they can measure unit financial performance
  • Assist business unit financial professionals in developing models and dashboards which will provide decision-making information to business leaders
  • Evaluate the financial planning and forecasting processes of business units for accuracy, relevance, and adequacy as relates to tracked metrics or financial performance indicators
  • Utilize external research sources and industry data to provide data and insights for the review and analysis of business unit reports
  • Provide recommendations to business leaders and financial professionals regarding ways to cut costs, improve profitability, re-allocate capital or otherwise improve financial performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required; Master's degree preferred
  • 5 years or more of related experience required with expanding responsibilities
  • CPA or CFA designation preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, other financial modeling and business analytics software tools, and / or related software such as Power BI, EssBase, Qlik or Tableau
  • Excellent understanding of data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business operations
  • Superior analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to define, plan and execute projects and build related models with limited supervision
  • Excellent and highly accurate math and accounting skills
  • Strong strategic and business mindset, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal abilities - must be able to create and deliver presentations to business leaders and financial professionals.

These presentations may involve complex financial information, but this position must be able to clearly communicate them to non-financial stakeholders.
