Job Summary :
The Packaging Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting various tests on packaging materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
This role involves preparing samples, performing physical, chemical, and mechanical tests, and analyzing results. The Technician will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support packaging innovation, quality improvements, and ensure that lab equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
Responsibilities :
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safety-first attitude.
- Prepare packaging material samples and conduct tests per guidelines.
- Analyze packaging material properties and document accurate test results.
- Compile findings, maintain records, and generate daily, weekly, and quarterly MIS reports.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment, developing SOPs as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation and quality improvements.
Skills & Capabilities :
- 1-2 years' experience in Packaging Laboratory, preferably in FMCG, Personal Care, Pharma and Medical Devices industry
- Proficient in operating lab equipment and packaging testing methods.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, their properties, conversion, and decoration techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, organized, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to technology and proficiency in presentation.
